Pursuing a professional dance career requires me to be in the studio, rehearsing, taking classes, or competing between 20 and 30 hours every week. In this endeavor, I encounter injuries that are unique to a dancer. I was introduced to Alex Williams after having experienced hip pain a few years ago. Alex was able to pinpoint my problem, aggressively treat it and get me safely back to dancing.

As it relates to dance, the therapists at Westview understand my physical and athletic needs and treat me accordingl.

Physical therapy can sometimes feel like a "one size fits all" treatment, but at Westview they use an individualized, "complete care" approach, which I find both refreshing and reassuring.

It is a wonderful place to heal. The care and concern you receive at Westview makes the healing process faster and easier. They are professional, and at the same time, they make you feel comfortable, cared for, and at home.

I know that when I leave, not only will I feel better, I will BE better.

In pursuit of my professional dance career, I know that keeping my body healthy and in shape is absolutely necessary. I need to be strong, muscular, defined, and flexible.

To this end, I have been working with Mike as my athletic trainer for the past few months. He has been able to structure my workouts in order to pinpoint areas that I've needed to work on. I have gained 10 pounds of muscle and strengthened areas that I was unable to work on my own. He has cross-trained my muscles for strength and flexibility which is vital to a dancer and I have seen vast improvements in my abilities.

I know that the training and care that I receive from Alex, John, Brad, and Mike allows me to grow as an athlete and dancer and will help me when I start at Orlando Ballet in the fall.

Thank you, Westview, Alex, Mike, John, Brad and Deb. . .see you from the stage.
