Yahoo! for Westview

    Undeniably, the World Wide Web is a game changer. The utility and usefulness continues to evolve, opening up new avenues of communication, education, business, entertainment and . . . advertising! It has become such an integral part of our lives that we make use of it and it's various offerings so often and commonly that it has almost become invisible to us.

    This advertisement was created to be ironic in the sense that the newspaper reader (old media) is faced with what appears to be a computer display (new media). Mimicking the results of the popular search engine and multinational technology company of the internet: Yahoo!, this design has a near-identical look and feel of a typical Yahoo! web search. Naturally, we took the liberty to infuse the "search results" with all things "Westview".

    At Westview we're acutely aware of the many difficult and confusing decisions one has to make when faced with an illness, injury or surgery. This advertisement is a gentle reminder to the public that you don't have to travel far to receive quality health care services. Westview's inpatient offerings include: physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and subacute rehabilitation. Our services, along with some of the area's best therapists, technology and equipment are why so many of our patients are able to get back on their feet- by way of Westview.

Westview Health Care Center is a 103-bed skilled nursing inpatient facility, which includes a distinct and self-contained 28-bed subacute short-term rehabilitation unit and an Outpatient Rehabilitation and Aquatic Center. Westview is proud to have received such accolades as US News and World Report America’s Best, Consumer Reports Top 10 Connecticut Nursing Facility rating and Health Grades 5-Star Top Ranking.
