Press Release
Westview's "Main Street...USA" Slated For Completion

Date
November 8, 2007

Phase II of Westview Health Care Center's renovation project is underway with the creation of Main Street...USA.

Following the relocation of most Westview residents to its new, state-of-the-art facility in May, the remaining 53-year-old building is being creatively renovated to resemble quaint shops along a busy downtown northeastern Connecticut scenic setting called "Main Street...USA". This exciting project will further enhance Westview's social programs and many offerings for the patients and residents of the facility.

Administrator/CEO of Westview Health Care Center remarks, "In an effort to recognize the limited ability that many of our residents have to travel or leave the facility, this exciting concept brings a new "community" home to them. We are very excited to unveil this new concept to our Westview family."

This attractive corridor will include a 1950's Diner with an Ice Cream Parlor and General Store where residents will relive the memories of the do-wop days in this classic chrome-trimmed hangout. Favorite tunes of the fifties will play while residents browse the General Store or enjoy a treat at the working soda fountain.

Airbrushing and artistry of Westview's Main Street USA is the work of David Laabs, owner of The Airbrush Shack of Thompson.

Mr. Laabs states, "I have really enjoyed working on Westview's Main Street project. When I go to do a mural, I need to feel comfortable with the client and that level of comfort reflects in my painting. Working with customers like David Panteleakos, Administrator of Westview, on a project of this magnitude allows me the creative license to explore my imagination."

Mr. Laab's airbrush talent and artistry on murals can be found throughout New England in businesses, personal homes, automobiles, motorcycles, clothing and signage.

General Contractors for the project is Engineered Construction LLC in Plainfield, CT. The anticipated project completion date is December 2007.
