Elaine Currier of Dayville, Connecticut was named Westview's Employee of the Year for 2015 by the Westview Health Care Center employee of the year nomination committee. Announcement of her award was made by Westview Administrator David T. Panteleakos at the facility's Annual Employee Appreciation Dinner held at the Mansion at Bald Hill Banquet Center in Woodstock, Connecticut.

Currier joined the Westview team on October 28, 1996 and works full time as a Laundry Assistant in the Support Services Department.

In an effort to recognize outstanding employees, Westview implemented the Employee of The Year award in 2008 to enhance their established Employee of The Month program, which rewards outstanding employees who demonstrate dedication, an outstanding work ethic and a positive attitude that is reflected in their day-to-day work.

"Elaine is such an amazing hard worker and her contributions to our organization are invaluable," states David T. Panteleakos, Administrator of Westview. "I am very proud to say that Elaine has truly earned this award by dedicating her efforts towards the high standard of care that Westview is known for."

Currier stated, "I was in total shock when I was chosen as the employee of the year. I work with so many great people and the fact that Westview honored me makes me feel valued."

Westview Health Care Center is a 103-bed skilled nursing inpatient facility, which includes a distinct and self-contained 28-bed subacute short-term rehabilitation unit and an Outpatient Rehabilitation and Aquatic Center, both dedicated to providing quality health care services. Along with garnering a perfect five star overall rating found on Medicare.gov Westview is proud to have received such accolades as US News and World Report America’s Best, Consumer Reports Top 10 Connecticut Nursing Facility rating and Health Grades 5-Star Top Ranking.
