June 21st marked the official retirement of Cynthia Cotillo, 2nd shift Charge Nurse at Westview Health Care Center. Honoring her dedication and celebrating Cotillo's future, Cotillo's Westview colleagues and husband Antonio gathered at J.D. Cooper's of Putnam on Monday, August 3rd to formally wish her well in her retirement.
More than 40 individuals attended the retirement party, which included a dinner and special presentation by Administrator David T. Panteleakos. Among the gifts were a gold clock and dozen roses, symbolic of her timeless commitment to the organization.
Panteleakos stated, "Cindy has been a dedicated member of our organization. Her contributions to our nursing department have been remarkable and we are appreciative of her tremendous commitment to this organization."
Cotillo states, "I have enjoyed my career as a nurse because I have been able to make a difference in the lives of others. Working at Westview with a supportive administration and wonderful co-workers really intensified my passion for nursing because it is such an enjoyable place to work. I will miss the everyday accomplishments at Westview, however I look forward to a fulfilling retirement."
During her retirement, Cindy plans to return to her love of quilting, gardening, cooking and baking, and hopes to visit family in New Orleans in the fall.
