Ben Gauvin from Danielson, Connecticut was named Westview Health Care Center’s Employee of the Month for March 2018. Ben is a 2nd shift Certified Nursing Assistant and has been employed at the facility since 2014.
Mr. Gauvin is a retired Army Mountaineer and has been working as a CNA for nearly 8 years. He’s currently enrolled at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich and will be attending Porter and Chester Institute in Rocky Hill this summer while pursuing his future plans of becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse.
“Westview promotes the importance of maintaining a family environment for the benefit of the people in their care but also for the staff,” stated Gauvin. “I love my coworkers and having been awarded Employee of the Month is proof that the feeling is mutual and that just feels great.”
Ben and his wife, Allison, are the very proud parents of four children: Julia, Beckett, Clementine and Wilbur. In his free time Ben enjoys an active lifestyle including: yoga, CrossFit and running - healthy physical habits as a result of his 13 years in the military. Aside from the physical demands of work and recreation, Ben maintains a balance through quality family time at home spent playing board games with his family.
