Creatures of the night, superheroes and adorable critters were among the many colorful characters that wandered the halls of Westview Health Care Center on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 for the annual Halloween party and trick or treating extravaganza.
Residents, patients, staff and family members were temporarily transformed into festive characters for the day while they enjoyed entertainment and refreshments in the facility’s formal dining room. The Still Pickin Trio, a country-western band from Chaplin, Connecticut, played a variety of bluegrass, old timey and country music for the festive crowd while they partook in Halloween-inspired treats.
Following the musical entertainment, residents returned to their rooms to greet and distribute candy to the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of Westview employees who were invited to trick or treat throughout the facility.
“We’re so grateful to all the families of our residents and caregivers that join us during our annual event,” stated David T. Panteleakos, Administrator. “Halloween is always a memorable day here at Westview. Our residents and staff go above and beyond in creating an atmosphere of lighthearted celebration.”
