Erica Smith, Administrative Assistant in the outpatient Sports Medicine Department was named Employee of the Month for June at Westview Health Care Center.
Ms. Smith has been employed at Westview since October 2013 and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of patient scheduling and insurances, keeping the department organized and efficient, working with physician practices, medical record maintenance and providing great customer service.
The Employee of the Month Award, decided by fellow employees, patients, family members and visitors, reflects the enduring effort and consistent performance of individuals delivering exceptional results for themselves, their co-workers and the patients of Westview’s inpatient and outpatient programs. Smith was recognized for her hard work and dedication in carrying out these responsibilities with excellence and an outstanding attitude.
“Erica goes above and beyond the duties assigned to her and often volunteers to do anything necessary in order to get the job done,” stated Physical Therapist Alex Williams. “She is very conscientious and takes great initiative to ensure excellent patient interaction.”
“I am truly honored to have been recognized,” remarked Smith. “It is a wonderful feeling to have people take notice of my efforts and then take the time to share their thoughts. Westview is a great atmosphere to work in and I really enjoy the people I share my days with.”
Smith enjoys camping, kayaking, four-wheeling, baking and taking trips to places like Old Orchard Beach, Hershey Park and Boston.
She is a resident of Canterbury and loves to spend time with Dan, Thomas, Micayla and Matthew.
