Residents and patients of Westview Health Care Center in Dayville, CT were treated to an afternoon of awe and bewilderment when Master Magician, Brian LaPalme, visited the facility to perform his bag of tricks and illusions on Friday, July 7, 2017.
Florida resident and performer extraordinaire, Brian LaPalme, captivated the audience with his own style of gaffs, laughs and magic that he has honed meticulously over the course of his 41 years of performing. Mr. LaPalme’s dream of becoming a professional magician began at a very young age; a seemingly natural path for him to follow having had a magician for a father and routine “magic meetings” at his childhood home in Willimantic. Allowed to graduate from high school a month earlier than his classmates due to a opportunistic offer from the Shrine Circus in 1976, Mr. LaPalme has performed every branch of magic from grand illusions to mentalism and everything in between for audiences in every state of America.
“I love magic and it’s not just my vocation, it’s my avocation and passion, “LaPalme remarked. “I’m still living my dream at 60 years old and I don’t see retirement in my near future.”
“Mr. LaPalme is an amazing illusionist and a well-seasoned performer,” stated David T. Panteleakos, Administrator. “The quality of his magic is magnified by his interactions and casual rapport with the audience. He’s a master at his craft and we’re grateful for his visit today.”
