Shane Herlihy of Putnam, CT earned Westview Health Care Center’s Employee of the Month for November 2017. Mr. Herlihy has been employed at the facility since March 2016 where he works in the Maintenance Department.
Aside from working at Westview, Mr. Herlihy is currently enrolled at Porter & Chester Institute’s Industrial, Commercial and Residential Electrician program with future hopes of becoming a Connecticut licensed electrician. In his limited spare time Mr. Herlihy enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, making music and watching sports with his family.
“Being at Westview provides me with a sense of accomplishment on a daily basis,” Herlihy stated. “If I can make one of my co-worker’s job easier; one visitor feel welcomed and one resident smile, to me, it was a successful day.”

Westview Health Care Center is a 103-bed skilled nursing inpatient facility, which includes a distinct and self-contained 28-bed subacute short-term rehabilitation unit and an Outpatient Rehabilitation and Aquatic Center, both dedicated to providing quality health care services.
