Bryer Earns Employee of the Month

     Roy Bryer marched in as March’s Employee of the Month at Westview Health Care Center. As a member of the Maintenance and Grounds Department he proves himself to be a worthy recipient of this award each day and each season. He can be seen around all parts of the building performing the necessary tasks to clean outside and inside of the Dayville nursing and rehabilitation facility.

     In addition to that, Roy performs a variety of roles as a general handyman on location. His ability to repair many of the pieces of equipment in the facility’s arsenal or to build something completely new for a unique application is an asset to the whole organization.

     Roy is a current resident of Danielson, Connecticut along with his wife Melissa and their children Hunter, Savannah, and Alexandra. His family appreciates time together whenever it is available; especially in the warmer months. Some of Roy’s favorite activities include fishing and playing horseshoes. For spectator sports, he is an avid fan of the Patriots and the Bruins, and he loves to see a good NASCAR race.

     Roy’s humble nature is another of his many assets. He performs all of his duties with excellence—expecting no great favor in return—and always has a pleasant thing to say to people that he encounters on his rounds. His appreciation for this appreciation was evident when he said: “I am very honored to be chosen as Westview’s Employee of the Month, it really means a lot. I’d like to thank my coworkers for voting for me.”

     “Roy has been so great to work with,” stated Jeffrey Pycko, Director of Support Services. “He is always willing to help and his hard work is exceptional. Congratulations to Roy!”

Westview Health Care Center is a 103-bed inpatient skilled nursing facility, which includes a distinct and self-contained 28-bed sub acute short term rehabilitation unit and outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapies including: Sports Medicine, Adolescent/Pediatric, Adult, and Aquatic Outpatient Centers, all dedicated to providing outstanding quality health care services. The Dayville, Connecticut facility is consistently ranked among the top nursing facilities in the nation, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as well as U.S. News and World Report, for the past 12 consecutive years.
