Susan Bessette has been named employee of the month for September at Westview Health Care Center. She is a second shift Certified Nursing Assistant and has been employed at Westview since June 2007.
As a second shift Certified Nursing Assistant, Sue is responsible for assisting residents and patients with their overall routine daily nursing care and services. Among many of her duties, she is responsible for recording vital signs and reporting any changes in the resident’s/patient’s condition to the Nursing Supervisor/Charge Nurse. She also assists with bathing, dressing, feeding, transfers and mobility.
“Susan is a compassionate and hardworking individual who truly enjoys spending time with the residents at Westview,” stated Director of Nursing Cindy Olsen. “She is a conscientious and professional caregiver who is well respected.”
Bessette graduated from Tourtellotte High School in Thompson Connecticut in 2004 and in 2007 attended Quinebaug Valley Community College to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.
“I feel honored to have been chosen by my peers as the September Employee of the Month knowing that I work among such hard working and equally compassionate individuals who are just as dedicated,” stated Bessette. “Westview is a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and I really enjoy every day that I spend with the residents and my co-workers.”
Bessette enjoys taking bike rides with her daughter, going to the beach, gardening, fishing, hiking, spending time with family, friends and her dog Stella. She loves the Fall and is looking forward to taking her daughter to Salem, Massachusetts during Halloween.
She is a resident of Killingly where she lives with her fiancé Justin Bonner and beautiful seven year old daughter Ashlyn.
