Westview Health Care Center’s nomination committee selected Dietary Aide Erika Groleau of Dietary Services as Employee of The Month for March 2015. Since joining the facility in 2007, Groleau has consistently delivered outstanding customer service. She is instinctively aware of the needs of others and works to fulfill those needs. Her colleagues describe her as positive, proactive and a great team player.
Groleau provides assistance with all dietary functions throughout the facility and performs a duel role in the Dietary Department. Her supportive role assures that meals and food products are safe, healthy and meet dietary requirements specified by the doctors and licensed nutritionist for the residents and patients of Westview. She is also the Café Coordinator at Westview’s Main Street Café where she shares the charge of planning and promoting the café program; and providing food service for fellow employees.
“Erika’s outlook and bright personality is very welcoming,” stated Administrator David T. Panteleakos. “She takes pride in her position and is a great steward of Westview’s team spirit and morale. Her enthusiasm is so infectious.”
Groleau graduated from Killingly High School in 2008 and went on to receive her Associates Degree in Graphic Design Fine Arts Option at Quinebaug Valley Community College in 2014.
“I feel honored to be recognized for my hard work and dedication,” stated Groleau. “The atmosphere at Westview is wonderful and everyone makes you feel like a valued employee.”
Erika was recently engaged to Jordan Kerttula the love of her life of 8 years and looks forward to being married in April 2016. They recently became aunt and uncle to the newest addition to the family, a healthy baby boy. During her free time she enjoys her diverse group of pets which include a dog, cat, snakes and chickens; as well as playing video games, reading a good book, drawing and listening to music. She is most proud of her loving family and is appreciative of their support.
