Westview Health Care Center, a 103 bed skilled nursing facility located in Dayville, Connecticut has been named among the top nursing homes in the United States according to a report published in US News and World Report.
The article, which was posted March 11, 2009 ranked 15,000-plus nursing homes nation wide on quality indexes such as Staffing, Quality Measures and State Inspections.
Westview Health Care Center was among 27 nursing homes across the United States to attain the ranking on the report's first published "Honor Roll". When reviewing the report it is also notes that Westview is one of three nursing facilities in Connecticut to achieve this honorable mark of distinction.
Westview Administrator David T. Panteleakos remarks, "When you work in this industry you know how difficult it can be to achieve good scores because of the complex standards and regulations placed on health care institutions by the Federal and State agencies. We truly strive to exceed these standards each day because the ultimate beneficiaries of our efforts are our patients, residents and their respective family members. Reports like this give us a renewed perspective of exactly how far that hard work has taken us. This is a very proud moment for all of us here at Westview."
