St. Patrick's Day at Westview

     With our residents and staff donning all the green and Irish apparel in the land, delightful Celtic-inspired decorations everywhere, and the music of today's guest entertainers Tim 'n' Vicki, we enjoyed a right proper St. Patrick's Day celebration.

     Punch was served to the residents in green and gold mugs, along with sugar-free green whoopie pies. Each resident was also provided with a brief lyric sheet to sing along with our musicians.

     Tim 'n' Vicki played several traditional Irish folk tunes for the audience on a variety of instruments. Tim played the hammered dulcimer, the fiddle, and the concertina (not to be confused with an accordion!). Vicki accompanied masterfully on guitar, and also served as our MC to generate clapping with some of the songs' beats and to lead the singing from the provided choruses.

     The beautiful sound of this music, the festively dressed residents and staff, and the delicious treats made for a St. Patrick's Day celebration that would make all Celts proud. Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!
