Westview Health Care Center on Ware Road in Dayville has entered Phase II of an on-going renovation project, with the demolition of the facility's east wing. The existing fifty-five year old portion of the building is being razed to make way for a new parking area for additional staff and visitors.
Earlier this year, general contractor Engineered Construction of Plainfield completed a state-of-the-art, 30.000 square foot, 65-bed addition to Westview's present structure, which offers both long and short-term rehabilitation services. In May 2007, residents and patients transitioned into the spacious, new addition.
"It is an exciting time for the staff and residents of Westview," said Administrator/CEO David T. Panteleakos. "We fondly reflect back on the many years of service and protection that these walls have provided our Westview family. I'm sure if these walls could talk, they would tell a story of compassion and concern for the many individuals who have been entrusted into Westview's care. As we move forward to the future in our new facility, we will always be reminded of Westview's beginnings, for they were the foundation for today's successes."
