Westview Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Center d.b.a. Westview Health Care Center, a 103 bed skilled nursing facility located in Dayville, Connecticut has been named among the top 12 nursing homes in the United States according to an article posted Wednesday, January 11, 2010 in US News and World Report entitled Best Nursing Homes: The U.S News Honor Roll, which ranked 15,500 nursing homes nation wide.
Westview Health Care Center was listed alphabetically among 12 nursing homes across the United States to make up the "Honor Roll" by attaining four consecutive quarters of perfect 5-Star ratings from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in each of three categories in which the agency evaluates nursing homes: health inspections, nurse staffing, and quality care. When reviewing the article it identifies that Westview is one of only two nursing facilities in Connecticut to achieve this honorable mark of distinction.
Westview Administrator David T. Panteleakos remarks, "In January 2009, we were fortunate to achieve a 5-Star rating by the federal government in the unveiling of their groundbreaking ranking system; and be listed as one of only 27 nursing facilities nationwide to achieve the honorable distinction of America's Best Nursing Homes. Now, with the latest honor roll listing, Westview is one of only 12 out of over 15,500 other healthcare facilities Nationwide to achieve this distinction and it is a great source of pride for our organization. I certainly attribute this significant achievement to the remarkable dedication and hard work of our most valuable resource, our employees."
