Griswold resident Stephen Potter was recently presented with Westview Health Care Center’s Employee of the Month achievement for February 2021. Potter has been employed as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Westview since December 2014.
During the previous year, Stephen has demonstrated his adaptability amidst daily, and sometimes hourly revisions that have existed within the ever-changing long-term care facility environment. But despite the many obstacles, inconveniences and challenges that he has faced, he has maintained his well-known and calm demeanor - a behavioral trait and discipline that is crucial to working within the health care industry.
Having always been a person inspired to help others, Stephen attended New England Institute of Technology in Warwick, R.I. where he attained his Associates Degree of Physical Therapy in 2014. With continual support from his wife, Lori Potter, and parents, Louise and Richard Potter, Steven is a firm believer that hard work and determination always pays off.
“I am honored to have been chosen for this award,” remarked Potter. “But this accomplishment would not have been possible if it weren’t for the outstanding colleagues that I’m surrounded by each day. It’s truly a team effort.”
“Steven’s positive attitude and commitment to the well-being of his patients and residents captures the spirit of Westview,” stated David T. Panteleakos, Administrator. “We’re extremely fortunate and proud to have him on our talented team of caregivers.”
