Teresa Payne of Danielson was proudly awarded Westview Health Care Center’s Employee of the Month distinction for November 2020. Teresa has been employed at the facility since July 2015 where she serves as a 1st shift Certified Nursing Assistant.
Teresa received her CNA degree from QVCC in December of 2014 and has been providing indispensable care to the residents and patients of Westview for the previous five years with her warm and easy going disposition. Always quick to smile and share a laugh, Teresa performs her duties at work with true diligence and believes in the maxim of: “You get out what you put in.”
Outside of work, Teresa’s free time is lovingly spent with her husband, Tom, and their two daughters: Natalie and Penelope. She also enjoys walking The Airline Trail, where she participates in the unique and little-known activity of “insulator hunting”- a pastime centered around the hunting and collecting of old and discarded glass and porcelain insulators that were once connected to utility poles for telephone and electrical transmission. A self-proclaimed “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” aficionado and devotee, Teresa feels that arriving at the age of 42 is a significant milestone for her - a number that author Douglas Adams prescribed as the “Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.”
When asked to share a sentiment regarding her achievement she remarked: “I am so proud to be a part of one of the best nursing facilities in the country. I am incredibly thankful to have been recognized by my teammates with this honor. Our job is a team effort and I would not be the CNA I am without my fellow coworkers.”
“Teresa is an outstanding employee who cares deeply about the welfare of the residents and patients of the facility,” stated David T. Panteleakos, Administrator. “We are truly grateful to have her here at Westview.”
