Caitlin Child Named Westview's May Employee of the Month

Caitlin Child has been named employee of the month for May at Westview Health Care Center. She is a second shift Charge Nurse and Relief Nursing Supervisor and has been employed at Westview since May 15, 2013.

In her dual role, Child is responsible for managing, monitoring and organizing nursing staff and assuring that the facility is adhering to the policies, guidelines and protocols necessary to meet the organization’s standards.

“Caitlin has a great command over her responsibilities and takes her position very seriously,” remarked Administrator David T. Panteleakos. “She cares deeply about the welfare of the residents and patients of the facility and is respected by her peers. She is a great example of quality leadership.”

Child graduated from Woodstock Academy in 2008 and received her nursing degree from Becker College in 2013.

“I’m honored to be recognized by such an outstanding group of professionals,” stated Child. “Westview’s reputation and level of excellence has inspired me to become a better nurse and to provide the best quality of care to the patients and residents.”

Child enjoys spending time with her fiancé, hiking in Bigelow Hollow State Park with her Husky Stella, fishing at Pond Factory in Woodstock and also loves vacationing at Old Orchard Beach in Maine. When asked what she looks forward to most she stated, “I look forward to marrying my high school sweetheart Richard Dubois in August at my parent’s home in Woodstock, which has been in the family since the early 1800's.

Westview Health Care Center is a 103-bed skilled nursing inpatient facility, which includes a distinct and self-contained 28-bed subacute short-term rehabilitation unit and an Outpatient Rehabilitation and Aquatic Center, both dedicated to providing quality health care services. Along with garnering a perfect five star overall rating found on Medicare.gov Westview is proud to have received such accolades as US News and World Report America’s Best, Consumer Reports Top 10 Connecticut Nursing Facility rating and Health Grades 5-Star Top Ranking.
